Hey I'm Hal, and the first thing I want you to know is that you matter. Your creativity and art matters. There is room for you here and I want to see you be successful. As a full-time creative, I know what it's like to struggle when it comes to turning your passion into a full time job. When I first started out in photography, I remember having a vision for the things I wanted to create, and a desire to somehow be able to make a living out of it, but I had no idea how to get there.
Everything I learned in my early years of being a photographer was self taught and to be honest I don't recommend doing it the way I did. It wasn't until I started invest in education, connecting with community, and going all in - that's when I started to see the transformation.
When I think back on all the struggles I had when trying to build a business around something I love, I think about how hard it was and it didn't have to be that way. It took so much time, many mistakes, a lot of trial and error, but I just didn't even think to ask for help. I'm here to let you know and remind you - you don't have to do this alone.
First of all, I want to say my heart behind offering mentorships is to be able to empower and encourage other creatives in the wedding photography world. I believe there is space for more creatives here and it is so easy to be discouraged and overwhelmed when pursuing your passion. I've been there.
There are two types of mentorships I am currently offering:
1. one on one coaching over video call
2. one on one coaching in person
