Hannah and Andrew got engaged at Banning State Park which is just a short drive from Andrew’s family cabin in Northern Minnesota. For their engagement session, we met Andrew and Hannah in Finlayson. Andrew opened up his cabin to us and it was really special to be at a place that has been in his family for generations. We then drove over to Banning state park where they had gotten engaged. We hiked around, went to the waterfall where Andrew had proposed, and we got to share stories and get to know one another.
There’s something special about getting to document memories and moments in time for people. It was a whole new thing being able to travel with them to places that are so sacred and meaningful. To be able to stand on the ground where Andrew had proposed to Hannah was an honor. To be able to go back and take photos at his family’s Cabin in Northern Minnesota was the cherry on top.
We ended Hannah and Andrew’s engagement session at his family’s Northern Minnesota cabin. We admired the sunset, went for a little boat ride, and at the end they even jumped in the lake. Truly they’re the most fun-loving and adventurous folk. We then gathered by the bonfire pit and warmed up sharing stories and dreaming about their big day.
It’s engagement sessions like Hannah and Andrew’s that hold a high place of meaning in our hearts. We get the honor and opportunity to do life with couples and document the things that matter most.
