Kirsten and Cody’s Summer Engagement Session
Kirsten and Cody opted to have a bonus summer engagement session just a few weeks before their big day. We chose to do their photos at one of our favorite parks in Minneapolis – Silverwood Park. These two are so fun and their love is the type of love that has seem all sorts of seasons. Through many highs and lows, these two are in it for the long haul. It was so fun to hang out together and do this fun little session right before their big day.
Minneapolis and the perfect summer engagement session
Summer is the perfect time for an engagement session! With warmer days and longer evenings, you can take advantage of the great outdoors to capture some beautiful moments between you and your significant other. Whether your style is more urban or rustic, choosing a location for an outdoor engagement shoot in Minneapolis should not be difficult.
One option is to choose one of Minneapolis’ many parks. From grassy meadows surrounded by trees to shorelines along lakes, there are plenty of options to explore. Take a look at locations like Wirth Park and Theodore Wirth Beach on Chain of Lakes, Minnehaha Park near Fort Snelling State Park, or even the Stone Arch Bridge near downtown Minneapolis. There are so many parks that all offer breathtaking views and plenty of opportunities for magical photos. This engagement session in particular was taken at one the the Three Rivers Parks – Silverwood Park.
When it comes to styling your engagement session, you can go with whatever style suits you best! Choose pieces that are comfortable but also represent both of your personalities—you want the photos to reflect who you are as a couple.
